Research interests

My research interests mostly focus on the dynamics of the low-frequency variability of the North Atlantic ocean circulation. Particular interests concern the physics of the abrupt climate changes of the last glacial period (known as Dansgard-Oeschger events) and the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO). I'm using a hierarchy of ocean circulation models (ranging from conceptual to global and realistic) along with a dynamical system framework to investigate these natural climate cycles.
